This week I threw the final punch for this round! These last 6 weeks have flown by and I love how STRONG and FIERCE I feel!
Every program I complete always teaches me something about myself. This one: that if I keep saying I CAN, I absolutely WILL!

This program took me a bit outside of my comfort zone. I'm great at following directions and plans BUT this one took me a minute to adjust to the movement pattern. The punching was different than my other cardio programs and I had to think a little more.
The benefit: it made the the 37-ish minute boxing workouts fly by.
The downside: I felt uncoordinated and a little frustrated in the beginning.
Over these last 6 weeks we've learned punches, footwork, defensive moves, pivots...all the things that will make you sweat! In our final week we put it all together and continued to progress with a 3 minute punching burnout, new agility moves (FYI, it's a leg burner), and ab moves that continue to target the core.
Here's a look:
During this program we traveled to LA, Vegas, Dallas, Miami, Brooklyn, and finally Philly! If you're a fan of the movie Rocky you'll know those iconic steps he ran up during his training. That's where we completed our Final Fight and it was PERFECT!

Goals Wrap-Up
My main goal for this program was to reduce my body fat to 25%.

At the start of the program I was at 26.8%. I'm finishing at 28.2% Yep, I went up and it has nothing to do with this program. It was 100%, without a shadow of a doubt, my nutrition. Do i feel like I failed? ABSOLUTELY NOT! Was the program ineffective? HELL NO!
I still see progress in my pics. I feel stronger. My back is leaner. My legs are stronger. I still lost inches. But most importantly, it kept my mental game in check during this quarantine. And for a girl who battles with the depression, that's a HUGE accomplishment.

Bottom line, is I just didn't do as good of a job with my nutrition as I could have. I didn't stick to my meal plans. I ate more desserts than I typically do. I went back to my habit of finishing those last few bites on my kids plates. I won't make excuses. It is what it is. I've always promised my clients I'd be 100% honest and transparent and this blog is no different. This is real life friends. Nobody is perfect and I'll never pretend to be.
I do hope it shows you that even with an incredible fitness program, if you have crappy nutrition you can't expect results! It just doesn't work that way.
So what's next? I'm certainly not giving up on this program. I enjoyed it too much for that. In fact, I've decided to do a hybrid program with a little more lifting (also from the creator of this program) and use the boxing workouts on my active recovery days. Stay tuned for updates on that!
